I can “try out” with your company.

Hiring the right salesperson for your company isn’t a simple undertaking. It involves answering some important questions:

  • Is the salesperson skilled? Can he relate to our customers in a way that appeals to them, win their trust, and build good relationships?
  • Can he close the sale? Can he ask for the sale, persevere when customers aren’t ready to buy, and close it when they indicate they are?
  • Is he good to work with? Does he keep things on track and well-organized, while working smoothly with others in a company?

To help you answer these questions, I am happy to do a “tryout” with your company: designate a product for me to sell, I’ll take some time to familiarize myself with it (and the market), and then I’ll “sell” it to you the next day.

A GOOD FIT

Doing a tryout isn’t just a good-faith gesture on my part and a prudent practice for your company. It’s also a way for me to see if I’d do well there.

I consider the time it takes to prepare for a tryout as time well spent. When I undertake to “sell” your product to you, it enables both of us to determine if hiring me will produce a good fit.
